The Dakota County Board of Commissioners voted 4-0 on Monday to support the Warrior Casino and Hotel Project.
Before voting, commissioners watched a 30 minute condensed version of the casino proposal that was presented to Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.
Ho–Chunk Inc., a multi–national corporation based in Winnebago, NE is the developer of the Warrior project. "Anything that Ho-Chunk has done in the past that we've seen on their projects has enhanced the area so I look forward to good things," said Commission Chairman Rick Bousquet.
The Thurston County Board of Supervisors has also voted in favor of the Warrior Casino project.
