We've been telling you about the tough decisions City Council members have in front of them.
Well, one in particular has reached out and asked what you think should be done.
Leave it to social media to bridge the gap between local government and the folks it serves.
Councilwoman Rhonda Capron took to Facebook this weekend, asking her peers if they would spend an extra 6 tax dollars a year to keep 3 Sioux City police officers and a Fire Rescue position.
She says she's overwhelmed with almost 300 responses.
Rhonda Capron said, "I've heard a lot. It's interesting and I appreciate the comments because that's the way I do it. I do it to hear from the people. It's only fair, and it's only right."
Budget hearings continue Tuesday.
A wrap-up meeting will be held on the 19th, where the police and fire positions will be discussed.
All decisions will be made on February 25th.
