One auto body shop says it's seeing half the business it usually does this time of year, and it's all because of the mild winter in Siouxland.

The manager at Prestige Collision Repairs Center on West 7th St. in Sioux City, says business has been really slow these past few months. And this is supposed to be the busy season, that gets them through the slow summer months.

"It always has it's ups and downs. The strong shops will survive, and you always got your frequent customers that keep coming to you," said Troy Baker, manager at Prestige.

Baker says during normal winter months he sees about 20 to 30 cars a week. Right now there's six cars in the shop. So in order to try and make up for the lack of collision repairs, Baker says the shop tries to drum up other business for things like paint jobs and other detail work.
