Monday night, the Sioux City City Council passed a motion allowing Mayor Bob Scott to sign a non-binding agreement with Woodbury County for future Liberty Park discussions and plans.

The agreement would allow for future discussions about the Liberty Industrial Park, and any changes to the Port Neal interchange on I-29 or the construction of a new interchange.

Last summer, the City Council withdrew from its Urban Renewal Area Agreement with Woodbury County in connection with Liberty Park because of controversies over the Port Neal interchange.
