Many local businesses had their hands full today with folks gearing up for Valentine celebrations.
A Step in Thyme Floral in Sioux City was so busy this Valentine's Day they had to call in three extra delivery cars.
The shop was full of men picking out the perfect bouquet for their sweethearts.
George Johnson of Sioux City, says, "I picked red roses just because that's one of my girlfriends favorite colors."
The big Valentines's Day rush started a little late over at Evie's Hallmark on Hamilton.
Hallmark manager Emily Covey says, "The women are usually a little bit more prepared than the men. We saw a lot of men yesterday, and we will see a lot of guys today, especially when work is over at five, there will be a nice rush."
Robin Knudson from Sioux City says, "Most of the time I go towards the funny, Valentine's Day is one time that I get the mushy cards, I do."
After you have picked out roses, chocolate, and the perfect card...at the end of the day it all comes down to expressing love to friends and family.
