This year's St. Luke's Day Of Dance is fast approaching and the 3 couples competing are practicing their toes off to win.
We'll start with Kari Kellen and James Forey.
She's the Executive Director of the Children's Museum of Siouxland and he's a money guy, in Financial Services at Security National Bank.
They call themselves underdogs because they've had the least amount of practice due to lineup changes.
Kellen and Forey said, "I'm not going to say we're going to win, but it's going to look really good. We're gonna win, we're gonna win. There's no shame in second place. True, very much so."
Hoping to knock them off the podium is Clear Channel's Dan Locke and Andrea Orr, Saint Luke's Neo-Natal Nurse Practitioner.
"I think we bring a lot of excitement a lot of intensity," said Dan Lock.
They've got the moves but do they have the drive?
"I say watch out because we're coming after ya," said Locke and Orr.
KCAU's Matt Peterson said, "I know the kid from KISS was on the radio the other day and he was talking trash."
That's our own Morning Meteorologist here at KCAU, Matt Peterson.
He's partnered with Anne Westra, who works in the City's Economic Development Office.
They say they've got a lot of tricks up their sleeves, but modesty is not one of them.
"We are the prohibitive favorites," said Peterson.
"Sometimes silence is the killer though," said Westra.
All kidding aside, all the couples say learning to dance has been an amazing, exhausting experience and a great workout for the heart.
