People involved with the 2013 Siouxland Home Show started planning for this year's show last August and it's opening on Thursday, snow or shine.
Folks are hard at work making sure the Home Show looks and feels like it always does, even if there could be blizzard conditions outside.
Now, the Home Show is no stranger to winter storms, and as always, the show must go on.
Siouxland Home Show's Nancy Narciso said, "Every year we've had bad weather, sometimes worse than other years. But we've never had to close since I've been around and that's since '85."
The Home Show usually attracts about 10,000 people for the whole weekend, but Narciso pointed out when there's bad weather, there is definitely a dip down from the usual numbers.
The good thing is the people that fight through the storm are the ones who are actually looking for renovation help and benefit most from the experts on hand.
There are 26 new exhibits this year, rounding the total number of booths to 266.
You can catch the Siouxland Home Show this Thursday through Sunday at the Sioux City Convention Center.
