A Sioux City man who plead guilty to Vehicular Homicide and Driving While Intoxicated has been given 11 years in prison.
Lenley Schofield Junior pled guilty on February 4th to the charges.
Prosecutors say Schofield was driving on Iowa highway 141 near Mapleton, in November of 2011, when his car veered into an oncoming truck.
His passenger, Robert Palmer, later died from his injuries.
Aside from 11 years in prison, Schofield also must pay $150,000 in restitution to Palmer's estate.
