UPDATE: Teen Charged for "Pop Bottle" Bombs at Northeast Comm. College

Police have cited 18 year old Reid Alden, of Norfolk, with Possession of a Destructive Device, in connection with the "pop bottle" bombs.

Three "pop bottle" bombs exploded and a fourth was found Wednesday morning on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE.

Police were called to campus around 11:31am to investigate homemade "pop-bottle" bombs that were found near Burkhardt Hall and Simon Hall on campus. Investigators discovered that there were four bombs in total, three of them had exploded and another was found intact. The bomb that did not explode was made of a larger 2-liter bottle.

As police investigated, the dorms were put on lock down which was lifted shortly before noon Wednesday.

The incident is currently under investigation.
