You think your snow blower has power? Sioux Gateway Airport has some major machinery to help them clear snow off the runway.
They're two huge brooms used for snow removal. One was just purchased last year for more than half a million dollars. And, they help crews at the airport stay ahead of mother nature.
"I mean we knew what we were getting into, as far as the airport goes I felt we were prepared," said John Backer, operations service manager.
Due to all the heavy snow fall, American Airlines had cancelled Thursday night's inbound flight and Friday morning's flight out of Sioux City.
