Dig, dig, dig.

Scooping snow isn't always a fun task, but one that has to be done.

"There are other things better to do than to clean snow, but you have to do what you have to do," said Randy Haage of Sioux City.

It was a snow day for schools in Sioux City on Friday, but some parents were still putting their kids to work.

"I'd rather be in school," said Dulce Garcia of Sioux City.

Some people even brought the ol' broomstick out to help clean off cars.

Folks said digging out from this year's first heavy snow fall, was a team effort.

"We get a lot of elderly people who walk up and down the sidewalk. I got school kids, and I don't like having people go through the deep snow. It's a courtesy," added Haage.
