The snow at Sertoma Park in Sioux City is soft like powder, which means it's perfect for sledding.
Daniel Harbeck of Sioux City says, "Every time it snows, this is our favorite sledding spot."
Sledders of all ages, came out to speed their way down the hill, and with schools out of session on Friday the crowd was bigger than usual.
Once or twice down the hill is never enough.
Seven year old Sophia Green of Sioux City says, "Usually (they sled for) a couple hours, 2–3 hours, and then we go have our hot coco and warm up."
While the snow looks soft and fluffy, its not always a smooth ride down.
Justin Derby of Sioux City says, "We crash every time we go down."
The worst part of it all is dragging your sled back up the hill.
