The victim of the shooting was identified as Devan C. Key, 20, of Norfolk. The shooting occurred during a social gathering at the residence. The only description of the suspect at this time is that of a heavier-set Hispanic male. Attendees to the gathering continue to be identified and interviewed. The investigation is on-going.

Police were called to 701 South 2nd Street in Norfolk around 3:03 a.m. Sunday morning in response to a shooting. When police arrived they found a male victim who lives at the residence had been shot in the lower left abdomen. He was transported to Faith Regional Health Services. Police did say the wound was non-life threatening. An investigation is underway.
