Strap on those dance shoes and start getting down on the floor.

Yes, young or old, polished dancer or not, the goal at St. Luke's Hospital's "Day of Dance" was to feel the rhythm, dance, and give your heart a good work-out.

On Saturday, the hospital celebrated its 7th Annual "Day of Dance". A day filled with dance entertainment and dance classes for folks to come and get their grove on.

"I think it's good for me, and I love it. Pure and simple!" said Opal Hayes of Sioux City.

A work out six competitors in this year's "Dancing with the Sioux land Stars" competition knows oh so well.

Clear Channel's Dan Locke and St. Luke's Andrea Orr tangoed their way across the stage with a silly twist.

While KCAU-TV's Matt Petersen and Anne Westra of Sioux City's Economic Development wowed the crowd with a throw back to the oldies that had a modern flare.

But it was Kari Kellen of the Children's Museum and Security National Bank's James Forey that took home first place.

Their winning secret?

"All the glitter! Obviously all the glitter that we're wearing!" said Kari.

Glitter or not, the champions said the true win is dancing their way to good health.

"It really is a heart-healthy way to exercise. We're both in the best shape of our life right now after just dancing for just a few weeks. Thanks St. Luke's for having us be part of the day," added Kari.
