A Fairfax, South Dakota woman died Friday, in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 18 near Bonesteel, South Dakota.
Elizabeth Ann Koenig, 52, was driving westbound when her vehicle was struck by an semi-truck and trailer traveling eastbound. The driver of the semi, Richard Daniel Trattles, 61, of Yankton, South Dakota was uninjured in the crash.
Trattles' vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and struck Koenig's vehicle. Koenig died at the scene. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
