Orange City, IA College Student Loses Entire Family in Car Crash

Funeral arrangements have been set up for the four members of the Vollmer family who were killed in a car accident On Saturday.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5pm-8pm and the funeral service will be Friday morning at 11:00am. All services will take place at Sioux Falls Christian Schools.

A fund has been set up to help Brittany Vollmer with future education expenses.

Students faculty at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA are coming together to support sophomore Brittany Vollmer.

Vollmer's parents, James and Julie, and her brother and sister, 16-year-old Alyssa and 13-year-old Caleb, were all killed in a one-car crash west of Sioux Falls, SD on Interstate 90 on Saturday.  Vollmer was on campus at the time of the wreck.

Vollmer's father and siblings died on scene, her mother Julie passed away at a Sioux Falls hospital.  The cause of the crash in under investigation.

A Northwestern College spokesperson said the campus leaders are doing what they can to not only support Brittany, but all of the students who are in shock following the tragic accident.
