Folks in Bronson have lost a major centerpiece of that community... at least for the time being.
There was a fire at the Bronson Bar and Grill early Sunday morning. It's the only restaurant in town and the building was heavily damaged.
Owner Dan Lewis hopes to reopen, but just when will depend on his insurance. He says he's been overwhelmed by the number of people who have emailed and called him after they heard the news. Proof of how important the business is to folks in town.
"It is THE place in town and obviously Theo's has been closed, Lawton doesn't have a place to eat either, so this [is] kinda the restaurant/bar of choice for quite a bit of the small communities around the area here," Lewis said.
No word on what exactly sparked the fire. But Dan believes it started in the kitchen.
