UPDATE: School Identifies Party Responsible For Bus Accident

According to Alison Benson, with Sioux City Community Schools, school officials have identified the student or students who may be responsible for the bus accident that happened at West Middle School Tuesday.

Benson says a student or students threw snowballs at the school busy which caused it to stop abruptly. The city bus then rear-ended the school bus.

Benson says that school officials are still investigating and if that person or persons is responsible for the accident then the school will follow the student code book for disciplinary actions.

A city bus struck a school bus at West Middle School Tuesday afternoon.

School officials confirm the crash happened a little after 3 pm.

The city bus, used to transport students as well, rear-ended the school bus.

Six students were treated on scene for minor injuries. One student was sent to the hospital with minor injuries as per parent's request.
