Thanks to a large donation the Sioux City Children's Museum is a giant step closer to being built.
The Iowa Farm Bureau and the Woodbury County Farm Bureau donated $50,000 towards the Children's Museum.
With this donation the Children's Museum will build a barn inside with a hay loft, livestock, and a live milking cow, all to demonstrate the importance of farming in the community.
Woodbury County Farm Bureau President Greg Jochum says, "It would be important for the community to be behind this Children's museum to show where the food is grown to feed the animals, and how food comes from the farm."
The museum wants to raise $4.5 million total. So far, they've raised $850,000.
