New statistics just released show that the state of Iowa has the highest number of students graduating high school in the nation.
Here in Sioux City we've also seen a positive bump in the number of students completing grade school.
Superintendent of Sioux City Schools Dr. Paul Gausman explains what has changed over the past few years.
Gausman says, "Every student in the district at the high school level has a computer and the teachers are using that technology as an instructional tool. We are actually the largest school district in the state of Iowa with a one-to-one computing program where all the students have their own computer."
Gausman believes this change has helped the students tremendously, in Sioux City, the total graduation rate of all high school seniors rose to almost 85%.
