To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday on Saturday, the Sioux City Public Library held a "special storytime".
Lots of young kids showed up to hear some of Dr. Seuss' famous stories, including "The Cat in the Hat".
The "Cat" also made an appearance and played games with all the kids.
"It's just so much fun to see the energy in the room. They know the stories or at least some of them read them at home or at the daycares. There's just good lessons in there for them," said Jeanette Bobeen of the Sioux City Public Library.
Dr. Seuss would have been 109 years old on Saturday.
