The Siouxland Regional Transportation Planning Association (SRTPA) is culminating the Floyd River Valley Trail Study with two Public Input Meetings.
The first Public Input Meeting will be held in the Gleeson Room of the Wilbur Aalfs Public Library, 529 Pierce Street, Sioux City on Tuesday, March 12 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.
The second Public Input Meeting will be held at the Wells Ice Cream Parlor, 115 Central Ave NW, Le Mars on Tuesday, March 19 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.
The SRTPA is soliciting comments from the public for input on the plan.
The Floyd River Valley Trail Study evaluates options to connect the communities of Sioux City, Hinton, Merrill and Le Mars by a bicycle and pedestrian trail by recommending safe and secure transportation links for users. The study examines three possible scenarios ranging from a current on-road route, to a future mainline route and possible future scenic route.
