Storm Lake St Mary's and Boyden-Hull remain on a collision course at the IAHSAA State Basketball Tournament. Both teams picked up first round Class 1A wins on Monday. Boyden-Hull knocked off the #2 seed Lone Tree 58-54 to extend the season. SLSM blew to a 73-51 opening round win over Riverside. The two Siouxland teams next play in semifinal action on Thursday and with wins would play for the 1A title Friday night in Des Moines.

Storm Lake St. Mary's opened play at the IAHSAA State Basketball Tournament with a 73-51 win over Riverside. Drey Kennedy paced the Panthers with 33 points and 14 rebounds. As a team SLSM shot 49 percent from the field on the way to an easy win. St Mary's now faces Danville in a 1A semifinal Thursday at 10:30AM.
