The communications system used to link emergency calls from the tri state area to Woodbury County needs an upgrade.
The current system needs to be updated before 2018 or it will become useless and our tri-state area dispatch system could become disjointed.
So Monday night, folks with the Communications Center presented an upgrade proposal to the Sioux City City Council.
The total cost would be $1,168,732.00 with the City paying 53% of that.
The Council suggested getting a whole new system instead.
