Pender, NE - Pender basketball fans packed the gym to celebrate their first ever girls basketball title. Fans came to a special championship ceremony and saw parents play games, coach Larry Ballinger get a pie in the face, and to hear players say thanks. Coach Ballinger says "The moment that clock hit zero it was so great to see those players celebrate, and the people of this community get to share that moment with them". Pender finished the season 25-3.
