Onawa Man Pleads Not Guilty To Robbery And Assault

An Onawa man accused of assaulting an elderly woman and stealing money from her has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Nicolas Conyers is accused of forcing  his way into an Onawa home, in the early morning hours of January 9th.

According to court paperwork Conyers and his accomplice Trae Carter, also of Onawa, then assaulted a 75 year old woman with a stun gun before stealing money and fleeing the scene.

Carter has already pleaded not guilty and is expected to go to trial next week.

No trial date has been scheduled for Conyers.
