Once again, cat lover, Gail Bancroft of Bethesda, Maryland is doing everything she can to help cats in need.

On Tuesday, she came back to Sioux City to adopt a cat named "Rocky".

Prior to this trip, Bancroft adopted a Sioux City cat last year named "Jonas Gray" which lost a leg while being frozen to a drain during the winter.

Just like Jonas Gray, Bancroft heard of Rocky from her sister who lives in Sioux City.

Weeks ago, Rocky was found on the side of the road, fatigued and his back legs were very weak.

But the thousands of miles of travel all the way from Maryland, didn't stop Bancroft from helping out the animal she loves.

"It's ever so gratifying to take a cat who has a special need and see that cat progress and become a happy, healthy, cat," said Bancroft.

She said she's going to play with Rocky as much as she can to build up muscle again in his back legs.

She added she will continue to adopt more cats in need.
