For Citlali Prado of Sioux City, playing basketball and learning new skills is just the ticket to put a smile on her face.

"For me it's really fun to do it. You learn new moves, new stuff, new everything. I really like it," she said.

Each year in conjunction with the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship, Siouxland's Special Olympic athletes take to the court for a very special clinic.

It was a time to learn skills and drills from some of the nation's top women basketball players.

"I think it's really inspiring because they have smiles on their face and just knowing that we're apart of that, it's great to contribute to their happiness," said Bobbi McManaman of Morningside College.

Over 19 college teams are helping out in this year's clinic, which some players said includes more than just shooting hoops.

Throughout the day, the athletes took lots of timeouts for some serious dance breaks.

"We learn just to have fun. You have to mix business with fun in order to have a good time," said Minta Whetsone of Friend's College in Wichita, Kansas.

But whether they were dancing or playing basketball, Citlali said in the end it didn't matter.

She had a fun time enjoying it all.

"It feels amazing being out here," she said.
