Des Moines, IA - Sheldon won their first state basketball game since 1977 on Tuesday. The Orabs beat Pella Christian 63-57 to advance to the Class 2-A Semifinals. Chris Balster scored 21 points for Sheldon who now moves on to play Kuemper Catholic on Thursday.
MOC-Floyd Valley was able to erase their first round demons Tuesday. The Dutch knocked off Grinnell 52-44. Last season MOC-Floyd Valley had their perfect season come to an end in the first round at the hands of Heelan. This year MOC-Floyd Valley will be heading to the semis to face Harlan on Thursday night.
