To call it the Winter SUX Ride or not the Winter SUX Ride that is the question.
"It's more like an early Spring SUX Ride," said Craig Hartman of Sloan, Iowa.
Yes, it was a wet one for Siouxland's 3rd Annual Winter SUX Ride.
Some brought out their ponchos, and wore garbage bags to stay dry, not letting the rain stop them one bit.
"On the way up it was pouring rain, but I thought about quitting, but we decided heck with it we're going to do it," said Hartman.
On Saturday, over 30 people rode five miles through Sioux City.
The Winter SUX Ride is the kickoff event for the summer "Bike SUX" ride which raises money for unfortunate kids through the Goodfellows charity.
"Wintertime tends to keep people inside, this is a nice event to get people outside their house and start doing stuff. Be active," said Johnny Shelby, Winter SUX event coordinator.
Even though this year's ride was more about embracing the cold, "wet" elements, with the showers did come a little sun which brightened up everyone's day a little more.
"It's fun. Lots of fun people dressing crazy, getting on the bike. It's actually a beautiful day, so it's not bad at all," said Lacey Friis of Sioux City.
Yes, for these riders, snow or not, rain or not, this ride is simply about one thing:
"Having fun. If you're not having fun, lower your standards," added Shelby.
