Places like Sioux City's Sun Tan City said Mother Nature really put a dent in business on Sunday.
Typically during the day, the tanning business has over 150 customers, but that wasn't the case because of Sunday's snowfall.
"This isn't even close to what we normally get. Since we've opened today, we've maybe had fifty people. It made a big difference on our income," said Chelsea Appleton, Sun Tan City employee.
As for days after a big snowfall like Sunday's, employees there said it is almost the opposite.
They stay busy with lots of people looking forward to warming up to tan after the cold and snowy day.
