A lawsuit filed by 7 former Dakota County Corrections Officers against the county has been settled for $575,000.

The suit was filed by Alana Crutcher–Sanchez and 6 others after they accused former Dakota County Sheriff James Wagner and former Chief Deputy Rod Herron of sexual harassment and gender discrimination.

Crutcher–Sanchez will receive $250,000 and the other 6 plaintiffs will divide $325,000 amongst them.

Wagner lost the Sheriff's position to current Sheriff Chris Klienberg during the Republican primary in 2010, and Herron resigned after Klienberg took over.
