Norfolk Police Asking For Information On Damages Across City

The Norfolk Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding whoever is responsible for thousands of dollars in damage to businesses, homes, and vehicles in the city.

From the 1st week in February to last night someone has shot out approximately 14 business windows, 5 house windows and 28 vehicle windows using a BB or Pellet gun.  The location of these crimes has been spread out across the community.

From the last week in January through the night of February 8th someone has been driving around and breaking off vehicle side mirrors with a blunt object.  Approximately 13 victims reported this type of damage to their vehicles while parked on the city streets.  The main areas these vehicles were found were the on East Norfolk Avenue and South to the Park Avenue and from South 1st Street west to 6th Street and as far south as about Michigan Avenue. 

Anyone knowing who has committed these damages is encouraged to call the Norfolk Police Division Investigative Unit at 402-644-8700 or the Norfolk Area Crime Stoppers at 402-371-7300.  You may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
