A program that aims to provide more doctors to rural areas has accepted more than 20 students.
The program is the Rural Health Opportunities Program or R–HOP at Wayne State College.
Students selected for the program are guaranteed admission to University of Nebraska Medical Colleges when they complete the program at Wayne State College.
They also receive a full tuition waiver at Wayne State college.
Once these students are done with medical school they will return to rural communities most likely in Nebraska.
