Changes are becoming visible in Sioux City's Lakeport Commons.
A few new restaurants are being added to that complex. Chipotle is getting ready for its grand opening on Thursday. Across the street, signage is up for the Qdoba that's coming soon.
The new Panera Bread in that same area just opened on Friday. This Panera is different than the Hamilton Boulevard store because it has a drive–thru and outdoor seating.
"I think it's kind of exciting. Something new, I like a change," said Lynsey Fuller from Sioux City.
"It was kind of boring because I never went there because it's kind of like older stores, like for my parents. But now it's kind of fun because it's transitioning into youth hangouts," said Sioux Citian Shijan Shine.
