The Sioux City man involved in a standoff with police in the Greenville neighbor last week is now facing charges, but not for the actual standoff.
According to court paper work, 26 year old Fransico Bayona is facing charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief for an incident that happened prior to the standoff.
Bayona is accused of stabbing Wayner Godoy in the side of the face with a metal object, possibly a knife.
Bayona is also accused of breaking the front windshield, rear windshield, and left side windows of his ex-girlfriend's car.
The two have a child together.
Police say that charges involving the standoff are expected.
