Heelan students spent the day Thursday doing what they can to make sure the poor in Honduras have a meal to eat.

Hundreds of kids took turns boxing up meals of enriched rice, dehydrated vegetables and seasons to send to the hungry in Honduras.

Students worked in one hour shifts, and each kid also donated $20 to help cover the costs of the food.

Students involved say they're just happy they can help out those in need.

"It just feels really great that someone in high school can do so much, like all the way across the world and it just makes me feel like you can do anything," Sophomore Angeline Vanle.

The kids packed up a total of 125,000 meals.
