There's a new place for you to chow down in Sioux City. Chipotle at Lakeport Commons welcomed customers on Thursday. Staff said they were originally going to open on Saturday, but everything was ready to go early.
Chipotle says it uses more local ingredients than any other restaurant chain in the US, and folks in Siouxland seem to be excited about the new addition.
"I used to live in Lincoln and so we had to Chipotle's there. I ran in because I Was so happy and I knew it was coming so we're glad to be here on the first day," said Lisa Holzerland of Sioux City
This Chipotle is one of just four in the state of Iowa. It's one of three new restaurants in Sioux City. A new Panera Bread opened last week, also in Lakeport Commons. It's connected to a Qdoba, which will open soon.
