The Vietnam War ended almost 40 years ago, and today a war veteran who never received his medals was finally honored in a long over due ceremony.

Congressman Steve King presented Veteran Roger Baldwin, of Sioux City. with seven medals for his services in the military.

Baldwin served in the Vietnam War during 1971 and 1972.

Although it took almost 40 years for him to be recognized and honored for his duties, he says his country is worth it, and he would do it all over again.

Baldwin says, "I love my country, and with the love I have for my country I would certainly. If they called me today, I would go today."

Decades passed before any one had thanked Baldwin for his services.

He said the first "thank you" he received, brought him to tears.
