New York, NY - Iowa freshman guard Mike Gesell is playing at about 75-percent right now. The former South Sioux standout has been playing with pain in his injured foot for weeks, but in Tuesday's semifinal game with Maryland he played pain free. Gesell says he didn't re-injure it like he did against Michigan State in the Big 10 Tournament and that his foot feels good. If the foot holds up we might see him on the floor more often on Thursday night. Gesell's minutes have been nearly cut in half because of the injury. Tip-off for the NIT Championship game against Baylor is set for 8:00 pm on ESPN.
