Arlington, TX - The Texas Rangers selected University of Louisville left-handed pitcher Cody Ege with pick No. 460 in the 15th round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft on Saturday.
The junior is listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds. He went 4-1 with a 1.26 ERA in 34 appearances. He allowed four runs on nine hits in 28 2/3 innings pitched. He had 44 strikeouts, seven walks and a .102 opponents' batting average.
Ege was 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 40 appearances his first two seasons at Louisville. He had a .290 opponents' batting average during that span.
