AMES, Iowa--After a bye week, the Iowa State Cyclones are ready for their in-state rival Iowa Hawkeyes.
The Cyclones lost their week one game to Northern Iowa, and are typically seen as the underdogs in this game against the Hawkeyes.
"We've been the underdog probably the last two years we've won," said Cyclone defensive back Jacques Washington. "I don't think we read too much into that. It's just something else to add to the fire that's burning."
But Iowa State has won nine of the last fifteen match-ups between the two schools, as well as each of the last two seasons.
The Cyclones look for win number one while the Hawkeyes try to improve to 2-1 on Saturday. The game will kick off at 5 PM at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, and can be seen on Fox Sports 1.
