LINCOLN, Neb.--The Nebraska Cornhuskers are ready to avenge one of their four losses last season when they welcome the No. 18 UCLA Bruins to Memorial Stadium.
A year ago, the Bruins (1-0) beat the Huskers (2-0) 36-30 in Pasadena with Johnathan Franklin rushing for 217 yards. UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley was 21 of 33 for 305 yards and four touchdowns.
"That left a bad taste in our mouth, and it's been in our minds all off season," said Nebraska cornerback Andrew Green. "Now that it's finally here, we can get some revenge."
While Franklin is now with the Green Bay Packers of the NFL, Hundley will be leading an offense to Lincoln that currently ranks seventh in the NCAA in rushing and fifth in scoring.
No. 22 Nebraska, on the other hand, ranks 54th in scoring defense and 56th against the run.
The Huskers and the Bruins kick off at 11 AM on Saturday. That game can be seen right here on KCAU.
