MOVILLE, Iowa—In a game pushed back from Friday night due to severe weather, No. 7 Lawton-Bronson handled their bitter rivals Woodbury Central, 27-0, Saturday evening.
The Wildcats had their chances, with two goal-to-go chances in the second and third quarters alone, but were unable to capitalize on either drive, turning the ball over on downs each time.
With a 6-0 lead after the first quarter, Eagles quarterback AJ Nitzschke went untouched around right end with time running out before halftime to give Lawton-Bronson a 13-0 lead.
With the win, Lawton-Bronson improves to 5-1 while Woodbury Central falls to 1-5.
