COLUMBUS, Ohio--After leading the fourth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes at halftime and entering the fourth quarter tied, the Iowa Hawkeyes feel they let a golden opportunity slip away Saturday.
The Buckeyes outscored the Hawkeyes 10-0 in the fourth quarter en route to a 34-24 Big Ten win.
Jake Rudock, who had thrown 3 touchdown passes earlier in the game, threw a costly interception with less than five minutes remaining, sealing the victory for Ohio State.
"You don't get prizes for playing a good first half," said Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz. "You've got to play the full sixty minutes."
Iowa (4-3, 1-2) returns home on Oct. 26 to take on Northwestern. Kickoff is set for 11 AM and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
