HINTON, Iowa--After leading the Hinton Black Hawks to the state volleyball tournament, senior standout Kasey Reuter signed her national letter of intent Monday to continue her volleyball career at the University of Missouri.
Reuter was part of a Hinton team that qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2005 before falling in the opening round to Sumner-Fredericksburg.
The 6'1" senior led the Black Hawks with 340 kills on the season and hit at an astounding .401 clip. She also led the team with 46 aces and 332 digs.
Reuter will join a powerhouse program that is in the midst of a 31-0 (15-0 in the SEC) season. The Missouri Tigers are currently ranked sixth in the country.
The Tigers will lose two seniors when Reuter enrolls, and she hopes to be able to battle for playing time and earn a spot in the rotation as a freshman.
"I just want to really thank everybody who's helped me along the way," Reuter said. "I've had a lot of awesome teammates and great coaches that have helped me out, and I would not be here without them."
