WAYNE, Neb.--Jalen Barry scored a game-high 22 points and the fifth-ranked Wayne Blue Devils beat No. 3 Hartington Cedar Catholic, 53-38 Saturday night.
The game was the semi-finals of the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout. The Blue Devils advance to take on top-ranked Boone Central/Newman Grove on Monday night.
In a girls semi-final, No. 5 Pender had no trouble with Hartington Cedar Catholic, winning 59-21.
Trista Morgan scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Lady Pendragons.
Pender will take on top-ranked and defending Class B state champions Grand Island Northwest on Monday.
