I'm a lifelong Siouxland girl and it's my honor to help bring you the news of the day. I've been the co-anchor of Channel 9 Eyewitness News at 5, 6, and 10 for six years now and feel I've "grown up" on Siouxland TV.
I was born and raised in Hartington, Nebraska where I graduated from Hartington Public High School. My love for journalism began at Morningside College where I received my bachelor's degree in mass communications in 2006.
One of my favorite parts of my job is reporting on the latest developments, people, and programs making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. It's a series we call "Focus for the Cure," a longtime partnership with the Siouxland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I also served as a co-chair for the 2011 "Race for the Cure" in Sioux City and am passionate about telling survivor stories. If you have a great story to share, feel free to e-mail me!
In addition to being a news anchor, I am the proud mom of a little boy named Hunter and I spend every minute I can with him. My husband, Chris Liberto, and I are also active at our church and love to spend time with our families and travel when we can.
A few other Jenna fun facts:
My favorite TV show is ABC's "Once Upon a Time."
My favorite food is corndogs!
In college I played a singing gopher (yes, the animal) in a theatre production!
