From South Korea and Hawaii to Oklahoma and Nebraska, growing up in a military family, I've literally lived all over the world. But, I've always considered myself a Midwesterner, and now I'm proud to be a Siouxlander, as well!
I graduated from Bellevue West High School in 1999, and went on to get my bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. While in the Cornhusker State, I worked with the Pinnacle Sports Radio Network broadcasting husker football, volleyball, and soccer games. From there, I spent my first year in television as a news reporter at our sister station, Channel 8, KLKN in Lincoln.
Before moving to Channel 9 Eyewitness News Morning and Midday, I was the weekend sports anchor at KCAU and enjoyed getting to cover the area's many talented high school, college and professional teams.
Now, in addition to being at the anchor desk, I report on our annual "My Favorite Teacher" series and our monthly "Project Homefront" series which highlights local military families. Meeting these families has been especially rewarding for me - a true honor to get to personally thank our servicemen and women.
In my spare time I love spending time with my own family. My wife, Jenna Rehnstrom, and I welcomed our first child, a son, Hunter, in September. We also have two dogs, two nephews and lots of family in the area, so we keep quite busy when we're not working.
However, I still find time to follow my favorite sports teams, especially Notre Dame, the New York Mets and Giants!
